Amazon Keyspaces (for Apache Cassandra) now supports automatic data expiration by using Time to Live (TTL) settings
Feed: Recent Announcements. Amazon Keyspaces (for Apache Cassandra), a scalable, highly available, and fully managed Apache Cassandra–compatible database service, now supports automatic data expiration by using Time to Live (TTL) settings. With TTL, you set expiration times on attributes or rows in your tables, and Keyspaces automatically deletes those expired attributes or rows. TTL is useful if your data is growing rapidly, and you want to control costs by deleting data that you don’t want to retain indefinitely. If you have compliance requirements corresponding to data retention, you can use TTL to delete data at the desired time. You can ... Read More
Amazon Keyspaces (for Apache Cassandra) now automatically optimizes client connections made through AWS PrivateLink to improve availability and read/write throughput
Feed: Recent Announcements. PrivateLink provides private connectivity between Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC), AWS services, and your on-premises networks, without exposing your traffic to the public internet. PrivateLink makes it easy to connect services across different accounts and VPCs to simplify your network architecture. Amazon Keyspaces now improves the availability and read/write throughput of connections between Cassandra drivers and Keyspaces by automatically configuring your account’s Keyspaces system tables based on your VPC configuration. Clients also can create more connections by using the built-in load-balancing features of Cassandra drivers ... Read More
Amazon Keyspaces (for Apache Cassandra) now helps you monitor and improve application read/write performance and throughput by using new Amazon CloudWatch metrics
Feed: Recent Announcements. Keyspaces integrates with CloudWatch to give you deep observability into your Cassandra workload performance. Now, Keyspaces publishes new CloudWatch metrics to help you optimize your application data models for better read/write performance by detecting unbalanced workload traffic across your partitions. In addition, the new metrics help you detect when you need to increase the number of client connections to support greater read/write throughput ... Read More
